As the Operations Manager for Scafom I oversee the entire $6 million inventory of scaffold and shoring products. My responsibilities also include managing accounts payable and receivable, which includes forecasting future sales and rentals. I created and manage the safety program for the office and warehouse. I implemented and oversee weekly Tool Box meetings, Hazard Assessment Reports, monthly office safety meetings. This resulted in zero Lost Time Accidents, OSHA Recordable and near misses since the creation of Safety Program. We work very closely with our foreign colleagues in Canada, Europe and China, and I am a key contact. I currently handle the employee management process from hiring to career development and progression for 6 - 10 direct reports including Administrators, Yard Foremen and Yard Labor. My responsibilities include maintaining a balanced inventory by calculating and maintaining key ratios of critical components to scaffolding and shoring resulting in zero shortfalls. My day to day responsibilities include locating, selecting, and procuring merchandise in excess of $100K for resale or rental. I represent management in the purchase negotiations with our customers. A key aspect of my job at Scafom is to review financial statements, sales reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement. I use that information to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.

At White Cap I used my extensive experience in the field to organize the equipment department to maximize efficiency. I used my knowledge of the Houston market to procure equipment and parts most common to contractors in the area. I forecasted the needs of the area and maintained inventory of equipment and parts to satisfy customer demand. My job responsibilities included helping to educate mechanics on basic repairs of concrete related equipment. I also educated and trained White Cap Associates on equipment related to construction so that they could further help their customers. One of my biggest achievements was to increase gross profits by over 40%.

During my long tenure with CMC Construction Services I reduced inventory loss by planning and working with employees to configure a new inventory schedule. I was tasked with the job of organizing and creating job descriptions to increase satisfaction and efficiency of employees.I streamlined repair processes to increase output and lower costs. One such area was the American Concrete Institute, Flatwork Technician where I learned the proper procedures to place, consolidate, finish, edge, joint, cure and protect concrete flatwork. I also became knowledgable as a FACE Dipstick Profiler, F-numbers, floor flatness and levelness. That also included learning how to lay- out and measure floors in accordance with ACI and ASTM requirements.
