In response to the flooding disaster in the Nashville area in May of 2010, the United Methodist Church organized church leaders to aid in helping those in need. I was responsible for the coordination of volunteers for various aid projects. This included direct communication with those affected by the flood, assisting them in their FEMA applications, finding proper avenues for receiving financial aid, and coordinating volunteers which includes organizing out of town teams to offer assistance, provide housing for them and providing them with work assignments.
