Continuation from my role as FE 1

-Install, start-up, and troubleshooting of equipment at customer locations.-Design equipment for specific customer applications.-Take part in the tear down and reliability analysis of old equipment.

• Works on a capstone team of 5 as the lead engineer developing a braking system for the SR-22 Schulich FSAE vehicle.• In the process of designing custom brake rotors, and a custom dynamometer for testing friction coefficients of brake components at various temperatures.

• Designed custom tools for use in underground mine; working through design, iteration, developing drawings, quoting out, and purchasing.• Held key responsibilities in running the structural integrity program for a multi-billion dollar facility; performed inspections, booked time with contractors, documented results, and resolved issues.• Developed designs to resolve structural flaws, issued work packages for resolution, joined tradespersons in the field during the resolution process to learn as much as possible about the repair process.• Performed technical analysis on designs referring to the CISC handbook and ensuring that requirements set by the Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety Regulations were met.• Developed procedures, safe work plans, and schedules for completion of large-scale jobs at the mine site. Worked with the crew on the job, helping where possible.

• Works in a team of 3 designing structural components for an electric motorcycle• Communicated with team members in the electrical department to ensure projects meet their need• Modelled components using Solidworks• Prototyped using 3D printing

-Performed Search and Rescue work on Vancouver Island-Responded to calls requesting assistance, conducted medical evacuations, performed first aid, towed broken vessels, and reported and logged all work done.-Practiced good judgement and made independent decisions while working within a framework of protocols and operational goals.-Maintained and operated a wide array of medical gear, and a fast-response craft with a value of $250k.-Lived and worked with two other individuals for two week periods, maintained relationships conducive to good teamwork

• Supervised the pool and aquatics area for danger and drownings• Responded to first-aid incidents, with severity ranging from minor cuts to concussions and fainting• Worked fluidly in a team with other personnel while responding to emergency situations• Taught essential swim and aquatic safety skills to swimmers of all ages and levels• Coached Junior Lifeguarding Club; leading sessions on basic first aid, proper procedure in aquatic rescues, and proper water safety practices• Trained and supported new swim instructors
