Experienced project manager specializing in healthcare IT implementations including blockchain-based solutions.10+ years in project and research management, software design and implementation, and producing original research. More than 7 years experience leading diverse software development and clinical teams on projects in both American and global healthcare settings.I am a Senior Research Fellow at Harvard Pilgrims Health Care Research Institute exploring uses of blockchain technology and self-sovereign identity platforms for health care toward creating a more patient-centric healthcare record and improving data liquidity in a federated healthcare environment. I aims to design and manage healthcare and medical data-acquisition software solutions to help patients better interact with their healthcare providers and systems. Previously at University of Texas at Austin's Dell Medical School, I, as a Research Engineering/Scientist Associate and Project Manager, coordinated the implementation of multiple self-sovereign identity platforms for managing verifiable credentials and decentralized identities using blockchain technology. As an enterprise project coordinator at UT-Health Austin, I managed software implementations for clinical operation. My projects include the software development and implementation of a medical student performance and compliance management platform for Medical Education team and technical implementation of WHO’s Go.Data platform for COVID-19 case and contract tracking of students and staff on University of Texas at Austin campus. In 2018, I completed his doctorate in medical science (cardiac electrophysiology and inherited arrhythmias) from Nagasaki University-Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences(Japan). Through my research at Nagasaki University-Institute of Tropical Medicine(Japan) and UT-Dell Medical School, I conducted research projects related to the design and implementation of patient-centric electronic health information systems and civil registration and vital statistics tools in the United States, Middle East, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Southeast Asia. These projects include subject matters relating to maternal and child health, mild-cognitive impairment and dementia, and HIV patient and antiretroviral drug management with unique cultural, geographic, and technical requirements.
