• KiDrone is building the infrastructure for accelerated, sustainable reforestation at scale using patented machine learning and heavy-lift drone technology.• Laid the foundations for a future cloud-based data aggregation platform that would allow KiDrone to retrieve multiple datasets for the purpose of utilizing machine learning techniques to determine an optimal seeding path through a particular site.• Developed a data aggregation platform in Python that retrieves, cleans, and displays a selection of datasets on a desired location, including but not limited to, weather data (temperature, precipitation), soil data (moisture, composition, drainage, texture), flight data (previously flown flight paths), and historical fire severity data (color-coded fire severity maps). Data was processed with Pandas, displayed with Seaborn, and sourced either individually, from the Government of Canada or from the Government of British Columbia.• Built a function that took a fire severity map of a given location and, utilizing OpenCV, identified and classified areas based on their suitability for aerial seeding.
