The demand for a variety of analyses -- combined with large, complex data set for medical claim bills -- result in the need for SSAS platform-stretching query performance. Technical Details: Cascading many-to-many (to many to many) joins and distinct counts across multi-hundred million fact rows in order to join hundreds of millions of diagnosis details and treatment procedures, to millions of claimants, providers, provider specialties, and insurers, to hundreds of millions of bill line-items and units, all available to the business at the speed-of-thought.
