• Assist on a variety of experimental platforms in the areas of cancer biology drug discovery in pharmaceutical sciences.
• Execution of a variety of in vitro and in vivo assays to test potency and efficacy of novel therapeutic compounds targeting cancer stem cells.

Yeo Lab

• Research focused in understanding the impact of RNA processing and regulation in human normal and cancer stem cell biology and neural differentiation.
• Studying RNA-binding proteins interactions by knocking down through homologous recombination and siRNA.
• Study and identify hnRNP-regulated alternate splicing events in hnRNP depleted human cells through cross-linking and immunoprecipitation.

• Research focused in HIV-1 vaccine design, host-HIV interactions, therapies for HIV, and molecular mechanisms of antibodies against HIV

• Contribute to the technology development efforts of the Antibody Technologies Group and identify and characterize antibody clones derived phage-display campaigns.
• Cloning of phage display vectors, Fab expression and purification, and reformatting of antibody clones from Fab to IgG format
• Screening of antibody clones (methods may include ELISA, flow cytometry (FACS), Western Blot, etc)

• Involved in the bioassay development for disease diagnosis, as well as the electronics and embedded systems development for bio sensingDirectors: Dr. Eliah Spencer, MD, PhD and Dr. Albert Yu-Min Lin, PhD

• Performed 50~100 Polymerase Chain Reaction from mice tails on a weekly basis
• Fixed microscope images of tissues and combined cross-sectional images into a 3D model

• Researched with and assisted PostDoc Professor for 10 weeks and studied the properties of algae.
• Created an effective algae bioreactor using one energy source and $50 dollars.
• Converted algae lipids collected from the algae into usable biodiesel.
