Munich, Bavaria, Germany

• Core member of a team specializing in AI-driven engineering to analyze and correlate sensordata for predicting and preventing machine failures for a global offset printing leader inHeidelberg. Spent four weeks on-site to acquire domain knowledge, studying 20-meter-longprinting machines, 3-4 meters wide and equipped with up to 10k sensors.• Developed solutions that optimized production processes through precise data analysis. Ourdata-driven approach revealed patterns in the sensor data that significantly reduced wasteduring the startup phase, minimizing material waste as machines warmed up, thereby enhancingstartup efficiency and overall quality.• This was my only project to date without Kubernetes, relying instead on PyTorch andHeidelberger Druckmaschinen’s AWS infrastructure.

Böblingen

• Part of the on-site team responsible for advancing the development of a Kubernetes-based GPUcluster, running in parallel with the organization’s Azure ML Ops environment. The GPU clusterincluded approximately 40 NVIDIA GPU nodes.• As a team, we significantly enhanced accessibility to the GPU cluster through a GitOps-basedML Ops approach built on GitLab CI, Polyaxon, and Kubeflow. We experimented with CDEswithin our cluster to enable much simplified, direct dataset testing and model development onthe GPU nodes.• Additionally, led a workshop for the entire department (comprising ~50 employees)demonstrating best practices for using the GitOps-based CI/CD system and effectively utilizingCDEs for streamlined workflows.

• Contributed to the founding of the Berlin Lab of Porsche Digital by setting up one of its firstKubernetes clusters, based on OpenShift as per project requirements. I was the only studentfrom MHP involved in this founding process, and this project also marked my first use of GitOps-based CI outside of MHP via GitLab CI.• Thoroughly enjoyed my time on-site in Berlin, collaborating closely with the team. This projectwas one of my most intensive learning experiences, giving me the opportunity to build aKubernetes infrastructure from the ground up and deepen my skills alongside a talented team.
