I lead end-to-end QA & release management for our TA and Data Admin functions, managing contingencies/dependencies between project teams, identifying and addressing (or escalating) roadblocks in order to optimize flow of development and delivery for the program. I further lead the testing and deployment phases of the SDLC for the broader Life & Health division. I coordinate UAT testing globally for all admin applications (beyond TA & Data Admin to include underwriting, policy, & claims), liaising with 7+ dev teams to ensure cross-stream alignment and then with 100+ business team members to validate the implemented changes and prepare for full formal production rollout (curriculum development, training, etc.). This includes managing the workload/workflow of access management to setup user profiles, our treasury staff to complete E2E testing, and our technical writers to deliver training materials with each release. I have led the division's business transformation with a focus on post-M&A systems synchronization as Swiss Re has proceeded through its Digital and Cloud transformation programs.I also lead our communications strategy as chair of our Change Agent Network, where I provide business stakeholders with key information on upcoming implementations and IT-led initiatives as well as facilitate negotiations on a deployment and downtime schedule.

I served short term as a contract QA analyst, working on Do it Best's internal wholesale website and enhancements to their supply chain and small parcel shipping capabilities. We also conducted a pilot of Telerik to update the firm's QA capabilities. This was a stepping-stone role in my transition from the public to the private sector.

Northeast Indiana

I transitioned from casework to IT, where I assisted the state child welfare agency and its vendor partner, Case Commons, in the creation and implementation of a world-class web-based CCWIS case management system using agile methodologies. On the IT side, I worked primarily on integration and regression testing analyzing XML packages sent/received through our BizTalk implementation. Beyond IT, I focused on change management efforts with the goal of mentoring and helping caseworkers complete their work more easily and efficiently. I supported system adoption by field staff, managing and massaging any issues or pain points in the new system, and acting as tier two support. Our work produced great results, including key markers such as increased caseworker-child contacts and decreased child time in out-of-home care.

My career began in child welfare, where I investigated reports of child abuse and neglect. I learned ways to interact with people from all walks of life - parents struggling to make ends meet, attorneys trying to make their case, coworkers overburdened by high caseloads, agency leaders trying to stay out of the headlines, and politicians trying to ascertain how to fix a problem beyond throwing money at it; learning what motivated them (and what didn't); and what intrinsic and extrinsic factors sustained successful change (or led to failure).I was an SME in child welfare best practices and auditor in the state's Qualified Services Review program. I also conducted various data cleanup projects to assist IT in prep for upcoming federal reviews, before transitioning into a trainer / consultant role.
