"Find your own people" is the last phrase I want to hear. I would rather fan the flames and burn the whole package than "think outside the box".My favorite St. Lawrence University class will always be Native American Oral Traditions because as someone who loves visuals, the utter lack of any slides or pictures allowed me to imagine more. The Association for Campus Entertainment, my biggest extracurricular responsibility at SLU, was the club I thought I would quit first. I even ended up quiet quitting from my on-campus internship with the Community-Based Learning Office which dysfunctionally brought slacking SLU students and the surrounding local community together. Sure, I chose to major in geology since my junior year of high school because geologic principles are broad yet very tangible and Earth-centric. But what I really chose at Stlawu, whether on the KSP campus in Kenya to the Barista Lounge theme house, was an imperfect liberal arts community experience.Now at the tail-end of my academics with a looming spring 2025 early graduation, I plan on spending the summer completing event planning certifications, nose dive into networking and shadowing, and build my brand before a yet-to-be-determined winter seasonal job.
