Mechanical Engineering Technologist
Current• Prepare project estimates which include labour, material, and engineering cost.• Supervise a team of three people for installation and inspection of barrier guards, safety devices, shields etc.• Conduct onsite inspection for Pre-Start Health & Safety Reviews (PSHR) of manufacturing machinery and generate reports per Canadian Safety Standards.• Apply knowledge of all applicable codes, standards, and regulations mentioned under regulation 851; section 7 Pre-Start Health & Safety Reviews.• Perform risk analysis on industrial processes and manufacturing machinery to reduce hazards at the workplace.• Also lead, coordinate, and supervise other works in the projects.• Prepare and review mechanical drawings for barrier guards and shields for fabrication according to the measurements recorded at the Jobsite.
