Model leadership that is animated by City Year's culture and values, and create spaces that empower corps members to access the power of our culture and values in personally meaningful ways. The SIM is also an effective talent developer who leads corps members to success with a rewarding year of service through civic engagement and a citizenship development curriculum. Responsibilities included serving as a tutor, role model and mentor to elementary school students, providing small group support in two different classrooms. Along with in-class and out of class help during school hours, I developed the after school programming for the school and programming for all five days of Camp City Year.
