Daniel Krige is an award-winning filmmaker with more that 20 hours of produced Australian film and TV to his credit. He is best known for the international award-winning comedy web series THE AGENT and acclaimed feature films WEST featuring Yael Stone (ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK) – a haunting drama which premiered at the Berlinale and is currently screening on Stan – and INHUMAN RESOURCES, a comedy horror which has been acquired by HBO and Amazon Prime.He is an experienced creative practitioner in script writing and script editing for both film and TV, has participated in and run story rooms and brainstorming sessions for long-form television (including HOME AND AWAY, NEIGHBOURS and ALL SAINTS), and with companies such as Roadshow Rough Diamond.In 2016/17, Krige worked for Create NSW (also known as Screen NSW) as Development and Production Executive, assessing both film and TV projects for financing from development through to production and post-production. He oversaw titles such as RIOT, MONKEY, WAKE IN FRIGHT, THE LETDOWN, THE OTHER GUY and MYSTERY ROAD, liaising with the various key creatives, production companies and post-production houses involved. Krige did another four month stint in the position from December 2020 to March 2021 to relieve the backlog of applications caused by Covid. While he is a focused creative, he has a comprehensive knowledge of the entire development and production processes for both film and TV.In 2016 Krige formed Dream Genie Pictures with producer Anne Robinson. Their first feature comedy, THE MERGER, premiered at Melbourne International Film Festival in 2018 to rave reviews, along with the Heath Davis-directed BOOK WEEK, on which Krige served as Executive Producer.Krige’s short LARRY TIME - starring Aussie icon Larry Emdur - placed in the top three out of 200 entries in the 2019 Short And Sweet Film Festival and won Best Screenplay at Made In The West Film Festival. Krige is currently in development on a number of projects, including CURVEBALLS, a 6x30 minute comedy series he co-created with Emma Markezic a feature with US producer Kristin Burr (CRUELLA, CHRISTOPHER ROBIN).
