Hi, I'm Dan from Kansas City. Growing up, I always had a fascination for computers and tech. During my high school years, I was taking classes at community college, and spent most of my time working with a group of engineers who were competing in the NASA Centennial Challenges power beaming challenge. It was a wild time and I have so many stories I could share about the crazy tech we developed, and all the cool experiences and people I got to meet along the way.I studied Electrical Engineering at Missouri S&T. During my time in college, I was a part of the Solar Car Team where I designed photovoltaic and electrical systems, along with pitching in on just about every other aspect of the project from aerodynamic to mechanical things. I was involved in our theater running sound for many events and working with touring concerts, Broadway shows, and student productions. Through my time at the theater, I began working with local production companies where I loaded trailers, mixed monitors and FOH, and did system tech work for some really great bands.After college, I worked with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Los Angeles where I lead international 3mo mission trips and lead Communications and IT. During this time I worked with AVL production companies and did events in LA, around the US, and internationally which I still do today.I'm now back in the Kansas City area. I work at Church of the Resurrection as Sr. Network Admin in our IT department where I'm involved in just about anything that has any use for a network. My role overlaps quite a bit into our AV department designing new systems and working on existing ones. I often fill in for weekend worship and other events on sound or other positions.In my free time, I enjoy doing just about anything with my friends like cooking, going to shows, and traveling to new cities or anywhere with a beach. If I'm not spending time with a friend I'm likely out on a bike ride, enjoying shooting one of my many vintage film cameras, or exploring Kansas City. I love learning new things and enjoy having a job where it seems like there's a new challenge every day.
