As a "craft business" lawyer, my goal is to always to provide my clients with skilled, experienced, and individually tailored legal work. Over the past decade, I have worked with many craft businesses in a wide range of industries, including cosmetics, design, eSports, tabletop gaming, medicine, music, photography, and other various professional services.I understand that for most, the thought of going to see an attorney may be a bit like going to see the dentist – you don’t really want to go, but you know that if you don’t, you may be inviting more trouble and “pain” down the road. Discussing your business and its legal needs doesn’t have to be like this. Whether it is helping clients with the initial formation of their business, negotiating or drafting an important contract, or helping to resolve or litigate a business-related dispute, I advise and advocate for my clients in a way that is approachable and client-focused (or as I like to call it, "small-batch" legal services). In representing my clients in this way, I have found that I am able to add value to our relationship not just as "their lawyer," but as a trusted friend who understands law.“For me, the practice of law is not just about knowing the answers to my client’s issues or being a skilled advocate, those elements are important for sure, but it’s also about building a relationship with my client that lasts beyond the resolution of the legal need that initially brings them to my office.” Show less
