Dan McDonald works with biopharmaceutical companies to develop and execute highly customized strategies for on time site activation, FPI and study completion. He is VP of Global Business Development and Marketing at Imperial Clinical Research company. Today, with over 22 years of clinical research experience, Dan understands the different challenges the industry is facing as it tirelessly works to improve the drug development process and the dynamics behind an industry that is rapidly expanding its reach across the globe. His passion is continuing to drive innovation that will improve the clinical trial experience for all stakeholders in the process, but especially the patient.Prior to joining Imperial, Dan served as Sr Vice President of Business Development at Excel Life Sciences (ELS), a US-based SE-Asia focused clinical trial management organization. Dan oversaw all strategic planning and execution in the areas of business development and marketing. He served with ELS for over 6 years. Dan has also held positions as the Sr. Vice President of Strategic Development for D. Anderson & Company (now part of Imperial Clinical Research Services) - and as the General Manager at Thomson/Reuters CenterWatch (now a WCG company), where he worked for nearly 9 years. While at CenterWatch, Dan had organizational responsibility for CenterWatch and the NEIRB, an independent institutional review board. Dan oversaw strategic planning and all day-to-day operations of the CenterWatch business for Thomson Healthcare.Mr. McDonald has conducted over 60 presentations at industry conferences and meetings, and he has conducted workshops and sessions on patient recruitment.
