Arcadea work to create equality of opportunity in arts and culture for disabled people in the North East of England, by supporting and promoting the work of disabled artists, by enabling and facilitating disabled people to access all aspects of the arts, by assisting cultural venues to become inclusive and by presenting a programme of arts and cultural activity.Being the resident artist at Arcadea, I was involved in the planning and facilitation of daily art led sessions with a group of young people to positively engage, inspire and value the individual needs and experiences of the members. I am extremely passionate about arts and culture being accessible to all and my role here was crucial to acting upon this ethos.
