Arcadea work to create equality of opportunity in arts and culture for disabled people in the North East of England, by supporting and promoting the work of disabled artists, by enabling and facilitating disabled people to access all aspects of the arts, by assisting cultural venues to become inclusive and by presenting a programme of arts and cultural activity.Being the resident artist at Arcadea, I was involved in the planning and facilitation of daily art led sessions with a group of young people to positively engage, inspire and value the individual needs and experiences of the members. I am extremely passionate about arts and culture being accessible to all and my role here was crucial to acting upon this ethos.

A freelance illustrator with experience in creating bold, playful and impactful illustrations for editorial, narrative, children, advertising and campaigns for both digital and printed outputs. I have a breadth of experience in a wide number of sectors including arts and culture, charities and non for profits, corporate, festivals and events.

Commissioned by North East Autism Society with funding from the Big Lottery, to lead focussed and engaging creative workshops with a group of young autistic people, working towards a fully inclusive, experiential exhibition.The creative content and recorded experiences collected from the sessions, which was named the 'Autism Activists', was collated, branded and pulled together into a cohesive public exhibition to communicate the individual experiences of young autistic people and to educate and strengthen acceptance.Outputs:Character DesignAnimationIllustrationTypographyCollage
