CurrentManage various Ground Maintenance activities for the plant including cleanup, road repair, winter weather issues such as snow and ice removal, normal grounds maintenance including grass, weeds, trees, housekeeping of grounds, landscaping, Janitorial Services with these activities being with both mill employees and outside source (contractors). Manage all of the plants 6.5 miles of railroad tracks including daily maintenance of all track components, plan and execute major repair or replacement of track facility, procurement of required components, supplies, and parts, organize and maintain track repair budget with projected 5 Year plan and manage the monthly track inspections, meeting all corporate inspection guidelines. I also work with many operation departments and the railroad track shifting provider, inspectors and train operations, working close with the plants Traffic Department with a daily goal of a track system within the FRA guidelines and a continued rail system, without any delay or interruption. My other involvement, with the plant grounds, includes various plant projects such as bank stabilization, improvements to our plant facilities and infrastructure, maintenance of buildings, and daily support to the numerous operating departments.
