My resourcefulness, encouraging nature, reliability and responsiveness are strengths that will help me conquer challenges that I am likely to face in this role. It is necessary to be resourceful in order to adapt the way in which teach and explain the programme to different people. Encouragement is necessary to motivate someone who has not yet bought into the programme or is struggling to make progress. Reliability is essential to build rapport with the patient when meeting face-to-face. And being responsive to changes in scientifically based health and wellbeing research is vital to providing people with the most up to date knowledge on healthy living. I excel at working within a team. During my time at university I captained and coached the league winning Bangor University 1XI hockey team demonstrating that I am capable of leading a team of people towards a common goal. Whilst at The University of Chester, I independently coached the 1XI; writing programmes, designing training plans, devising tactics and providing side-line coaching on match days. Therefore, indicating that I also am able to work as an individual towards pre-determined targets.
