Managed supplies for various electrical equipments. Was responsible for wiring single and three phase power. Worked on mechanical services involving different types of sizeable cables such as TPS, SWA and mineral insulated cables from 1.5mm to 240mm. Installed a range of cable management ie: ladder rack, tray, basket, threading rod, trunking steel, plastic & conduit steel and plastic. Wiring and connecting various switch boards from subboards to main distribution switch boards. This consists of various types of MCB's, RCD, timeblocks, lighting relays and contacters, C.T's, surge protecters and main switching breaks from 63AMP to 400AMP/240 J volt – 400 volt boards.Gaining experience in different lighting systems ie: conventional switching 2 way, intermediate, motion sensors and smart lighting systems such as C-BUS, DALI, Dynalite lighting and led low voltage lights. Working extensively with low voltage data and communications cabling CAT6A, fibre cable, CCTV cabling, alarm cabling and AV systems. Testing and commissioning of jobs including the use of voltage and lux testers, meggering RCD, fault loop, continuity and amp metres. Supervising apprentices to ensure compliance. Keeping check on materials on site and ensuring that they are stored in a secure manner. Signing off all materials, dockets, and job cards. Recording and delivering to head office any safety issues and making sure all apprentices on site comply with safety guidelines and OH&S standards.Ensuring all electrical testing procedures completed at finalisation of all job, in accordance with Australian Regulations. Reporting to the project manager the project outcomes, issues highlighted, and improvements required. Working on residential and commercial sites.
