Danny is an award-winning youth worker with an extensive background in the youth sector, working with those aged 3-25 and supporting practitioners in various different settings including classrooms, local authorities and residential care for children with complex needs.Through professional relationships with over 100 local authorities and numerous charities and interest groups, Danny has become a trusted voice for organisations and practitioners in delivering services for and with young people, with a focus on young people's participation, rights-based advocacy, campaigning, and event delivery.Since 2019, Danny has played a leading role in the delivery of the UK Youth Parliament by managing project teams, coordinating diverse stakeholders and organising large-scale events. His efforts have been instrumental in producing detailed reports for stakeholders, including the UK Government, and securing new funding through grants and accredited awards for a collaborative, inclusive and youth led programme, that with a reach of over half a million people a year, consistently has supported young people to have a better understanding and skills to present on social issues, be able to better engage with decision makers, felt part of a supportive network and where more likely to take action in their communities.Originally beginning a career working with young people in the education sector, Danny maintains links to formal education through his role as a governor at a school which is used by UNICEF as a case study for how schools can recognise the rights of the child.The Treasurer for Rotaract, Rotary, in two counties as part of a global organisation that empowers people to create positive change in their communities and around the world via unique opportunities for young adults to enhance their knowledge and skills for their own personal development and for the improvement of their communities - supported by the key themes of fellowship, action and service to change lives. Public speaking on a range of topics, Danny has also won multiple awards and citations for his work with young people as well as for work in the creative sector. He also frequently engages with organisations to undertake research to take forward recommendations on societal reform.Outside of his work with the UK Youth Parliament, Danny also freelances with a number of organisations and provides support for emerging social enterprises. One of his largest independent projects was managing the logistics of an international conference with over 400 guests from 38 countries in attendance.
