Highlights- Involved in a Data Centre Relocation, migrating Suncorp Mainframe Banking & Insurance data using TDMF- Involved in implementing separate FC and Ficon SANS for a Three Site SAN environment using Smartoptics Muxes, Brocade DCX's and McData 6140's.- Implemented and configured 2 x VSM5 Mainframe Virtual Tape subsystems migrating 500TB of Mainframe data from legacy CA-Vtape environment using CA-Copycat- Reviewed and improve Storage Failure alerting processes across a multitude of 3rd Party Storage Software- Implemented new Mainframe Ficon DCX SAN replacing McData 6140's, converting Mainframe Host, DS8x00, Mirroring, ISL's and VSM5 traffic without incident.- Mentored / Trained Infosys Partners - Developed Standard Operating Procedures for all Mainframe Storage Tasks- Implemented first Oracle STK VSM6 in Australia- Implemented an Oracle STK SL3000 library and converted from 9840D to T10KC backend tape technology- Maintained a multi lpar HSC environment managing Mainframe and Open Systems T10KC tape drives- Decommissioned one large SL8500 library and 12000 legacy 9840D technology tapes (that's 22 wheelie bins!) reducing tape footprint by 90%.- Managed Mainframe Fabric Mappings / Zoning and all Ficon Connections to EC12, VSM5/6, T10KC and DS8x00 including Metro Mirrors and multi-site ISL's - Managed Hardware and Firmware Maintenance for all Mainframe Storage Devices- Converted Mainframe Storage way of working to the Company driven Agile Methodology- Worked on Mainframe Transition Project to a 3rd Party Service Provider- Converted SL3000 tape library to Open Systems under an ACSLS Environment

Highlights- Involved in configuring virtualisation engine of HDS USP subsystems to virtualise HDS AMS500 and AMS1000 subsystems enabling a multi-tiered storage solution.- Involved in planning and migrating 30TB of Open Systems data from an AMS500 to AMS1000 subsystem without impact or outage using HDS Volume Migration tools- Implemented McData 6140 Ficon Fabric environment and migrated all direct connect Mainframe Escon connections to 2Gb Ficon- Redesigned cross site Fibre Channel / Ficon links to improve resiliency and reduce costly Dark Fibre Third Party resources- Training / Mentoring additional Mainframe Storage Staff- Produced detailed Storage Roadmaps aligned with Hosting teams- Implemented ESX storage under HDS USP environment- Involved in redesign of the Storage Request Processes for Customers- Involved in planning and implementing HDS subsystem tuning using Cache partitioning tools- Implemented IBM DS8300 subsystems and migrated Suncorp Mainframe Banking and Insurance data seamlessly using TDMF- Converted HDS XRC mirroring to IBM Metromirror
