Led the team that turned the Senior Mission Commander’s vision into reality by taking broad-concept ideas and delivering practical plans of action for an organization that consisted of over 19,000 soldiers and 5,000 DoD Civilians. I made this happen by building and leading a dedicated team of Military Planners. I guided the team’s efforts to coordinate and synchronize numerous deployments, training exercises, and campaign plan development. I led the team in collaboration across multiple entities at Fort Carson, CO and across several military organizations. By mapping out planning milestones, developing efficient processes, and identifying key metrics for success, I delivered impactful results for the organization.

Pfullendorf, Baden-Württemberg, Germany

Managed the staff and instructors for a 60-person International Special Training Center (ISTC) located in southern Germany. I personally led a diverse team consisting of nine different nations (Germany, USA, Italy, Greece, Norway, Netherlands, Turkey, Belgium, and Romania) that provided specialized tactical training to students from across Europe and numerous military organizations. With the Senior Commanding Officer’s oversight, I managed all operations, logistics, budget, and personnel support required to train over 500 students annually. I directed a multinational staff in the planning and execution of a broad array of courses, including; Military Decision Making, Operational Planning, Medical Support, and Tactical Planning. Overall, I ensured that our courses met the highest standards and that we met and exceeded the needs of our international customers.

I led a 100-person organization that provided tailored and specialized support to a 4,000+ person organization. I placed customer needs as a top of priority to ensure that each organization that required our expertise was integrated early into their process to provide the best possible support in operational planning for global deployments. I developed the organization from infancy and initial concept to fully operational. I actively recruited subject matter experts to join the organization and grew our numbers by 50%. I diversified our team's skillsets to ensure we exceeded the needs of our customer.

I drove operations for a 500-person Special Forces Battalion that needed to be prepared to deploy to Europe, Africa, and the Middle East and provide security and support to other nations. I directed the daily management of a cross-functional staff that ensured the readiness of the unit, coordinated and resourced training, and integrated logistical resources within budget constraints. I succeeded in finding and implementing cost effective solutions to achieve higher levels of readiness for the organization. I communicated our plans clearly to allow commanders to easily provide guidance and make decisions.

I led a 12-man Special Forces Operational Detachment - Alpha (SFOD-A) to conduct global deployments to austere locations (Middle East and Africa). I guided my team members in developing and advancing their own careers. I created opportunities for executive leaders to advance Campaign Planning and strategic engagements by offering detailed options and highlighting opportunities and risks associated with each option. Executive leaders appreciated my detailed and candid feedback. I always focused my team on results and solving the problems of our organization's leaders and decision-makers. I accomplished this by 1) setting clear priorities and 2) establishing pre-determined milestones and measurable metrics of success. I led the team to become the #1 Detachment in the Battalion (1 of 18).
