This internship with Fox Corporation was an enriching experience that has prepared me well for future challenges in the finance industry. As an intern in the Corporate Finance department I rotated through various Finance teams including Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Accounting Policies, SEC Reporting, and Consolidations. My workflow included reviewing SEC filings including the 10-K and 10-Q for accuracy, cohesiveness, grammar, and correct formatting. As a part of the FP&A team I analyzed and helped create weekly cash flow reports which were viewed in-depth by senior management. As a part of the Treasury team I helped actively manage a cash balance of over $4.4 billion. I also made a deliverable to senior management on how current and future interest rates are going to affect Fox. I am confident that the insights and experience garnered during this internship will serve as a strong foundation for my future career in finance. I look forward to applying what I have learned to new challenges and opportunities in the field.
