I’m a Principal at Compass Resource Management who works on complex environmental risk management problems that involve multiple resource use conflicts, scientific uncertainty, and environmental and economic trade-offs. We started Compass more than 20 years ago to fill a decision-support void in the resource management sector – a need for a rigorous and transparent approach to integrating the best available science and knowledge in all forms with a straightforward facilitation style that empowers groups of people with wide-ranging interests to work together.I’ve worked on a range of natural resource management and environmental planning projects across multiple sectors as a project manager, analyst and facilitator. As a recognized leader in structured decision making (SDM) and technical process facilitation, I’ve guided senior managers and government regulators in the design and implementation of environmental management programs and policies.
