Working for PB Events, I have implemented my own techniques to build sponsorships for all our events and maintain a high level flexibility as I also work within the realms of graphic design. This role at Penola encompassed the overall management of the student awards process, delivered to students for high achievement and participation in school subjects and events. Upon my familiarity with the school and staff, I volunteered to be part of the annual Source to Sea bike rides, Survivor Camps, which they struggled to staff, and the Year 12 Retreat. A brief overview of what these events involved:- Designing, developing and printing awards for academic excellence, sporting achievement, community work and graduation. - Volunteered to participate in five 34km bike rides a year, from Woodlands National Park to Docklands, teaching students about the environment and the change along the Maribyrnong River- Volunteered to be a group leader on the Year 12 Retreat, displaying my faith story and encouraging others to find theirs.

This role at MacKillop commenced my journey into teaching and provided me with the excitement to facilitate student learning. I began to understand the importance a teacher has within the industry and found myself to be well equipped with enhancing student learning and engagement. My involvement within the school is listed below:- Supporting special needs students ranging from Year 7 to Year 12- Adapting to the different requirements needed for each student. Werribee Mansion is a five star complex, built with top of the range accommodation, relaxation facilities, restaurants, which hosts weddings and high-end business conferences. My main role at the Mansion involved being one of four employees, entrusted with the weight of overseeing the running of weddings and conferences. This involved the preparation, structuring and waiting of events whether it be from the back room, floor or behind the bar.Working in such a high paced environment, refined my communication, multitasking and time management skills as well as learning skills in event management.
