Through the NWMS project the Australian Government is working with the state and territory governments to improve the efficiency of state and territory water registers. As a result the NWMS project define the Common Registry Solution (CRS). The CRS is a large-scale information system proposed to underpin the operation and management of improved water registers, and water transaction management. The NWMS project has identified over 90 core business dealings that will be the responsibility of the CRS. Each of the business dealings has been uniquely defined by each jurisdiction and is critical in the adoption of CRS in order to successfully retire their existing water registries.As Lead Solutions Architect Daniel has been responsible for the overall architecture and design of the CRS. He has led the design team using Model Driven Architecture to design the CRS using distributed SOA architecture based on a TIBCO implementation. The design has incorporated the strength of a SOA to drive the core orchestration and configuration of the 90 business dealings using a business process management (BPM) platform. Daniel was responsible for defining the reference architecture, methodology and governance framework used for the architecture and analysis of the CRS.
