Over the past 20 years, I have pursued my passion for making an impact in the non-profit sector. I have led critical programs and driven efforts focused on advocacy, education and training, bringing a bold new vision and breathing new life into diverse non-profit operations, programs, and projects.Known as a persuasive and fiscally responsible leader, I have a track record of: ✔ Building substantial, sustainable revenue streams ✔ Providing the creative vision to propel donations and achieve transformational growth. ✔ Bolstering community engagement and support for even the most challenging efforts. ✔ Developing and enhancing U.S. and global initiatives aligned with diverse organizational missions that enrich lives, engage and educate communities, and generate a greater understanding of U.S. history. ✔ Building relationships, bridging gaps, and gaining support of media and high visibility celebrities and government leaders. Our team has achieved unprecedented success taking on some pretty tough challenges. For example, when I joined the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund in 2008, a $100 million capital campaign for the Education Center at the Wall was facing a looming fundraising deadline and stagnant donations. We needed creative and urgent solutions to move this project forward before it was too late. Not only did we accomplish our goal to turn things around, we substantially increased media and community engagement while restoring fiscal responsibility, igniting interest, fostering education, and strengthening local, state, national, and international relations. The result? Donations are now up dramatically including pledges and gifts from three foreign governments. The design of the Education Center is complete as are all approvals. We now have a nationally recognized Education program with partners in History Channel, Library of Congress and many others.
