Dan Richardson has over 20 years of leadership and operational experience in the creative development of software, communication, and media assets. He has held the roles of creative director, application designer, inventor, and CEO.Dan has particular expertise in distilling conceptual applications into functional and marketable software, developing protectable intellectual property, and bringing emerging technologies to market. As a Product Strategy Consultant, Dan provides end-to-end Experience Design from strategy to wire framing to overseeing development. His interface, visualization, and application designs have been granted multiple utility and design patents. Dan’s time visualization technology has been showcased at high profile events including SXSW, the World Economic Forum at Davos, the Sundance Film Festival, and the UN IPCC COP Conferences. Named as a Research Fellow by The Long Now Foundation, Dan focuses on creating applications that use time as a context for improved decision-making and sense-making abilities.Dan has founded multiple SaaS businesses focused on mobile communications and messaging. He also serves as a consultant for organizations of all scales, from startups to Fortune 100 companies. Providing creative direction and application design, Dan has serviced a wide range of industries including, publishing, packaged goods, food products, medical device, real estate, and action-sports. During the internet boom of the 1990s, Dan was focused on creating advertising and publishing assets for both nascent technologies and established brands. His art-direction and design work gained international recognition and numerous awards.Dan’s formal training was in architecture and environmental design at the University of Colorado. His studies focused on the intersection of technology and creativity - specifically how technology has the potential to both help and hinder human capabilities. This intersection continues to be a main driver behind much of Dan’s explorations and work.
