Dan is a leading corporate communications specialist, with experience supporting more than a dozen FTSE-100 and large European clients through a variety of financial, political and social challenges. Before joining Brunswick as a partner in 2018, he spent 25 years as a political and financial journalist on both sides of the Atlantic, working as a business editor and columnist for the Financial Times, the Guardian and the Daily Telegraph. He managed large teams of journalists as the deputy editor of the Sunday Telegraph and head of national news at the Guardian and spent 7 years reporting in the US, latterly as Washington bureau chief during the 2016 election. He began his media career on regional newspapers in Yorkshire and Birmingham, before moving to Fleet Street covering telecommunications and technology.Dan is an experienced broadcast commentator, conference chair and public speaker. He is also the recipient of several reporting awards including Young Journalist of the year, Wincott Senior Financial Journalist of the year and Foreign Press Association economic writer of the year, as well as a contributor of stories for the Guardian's team award of the 2014 Pulitzer prize for public service journalism.
