I’m a planner in the electric power industry, working for MISO, a regional transmission organization serving 45 million people. On MISO’s Policy Planning team, I lead development of the Futures, planning scenarios of potential capacity/energy mixes over the next 20 years. The Futures serve as the foundation of MISO’s transmission planning efforts, such as the Long Range Transmission Planning initiative (LRTP). At $10.3 billion, LRTP Tranche 1 is the single largest transmission expansion enabling clean energy in American history, with an average benefit-cost ratio of 2.6, and an estimated $37 billion to $69 billion in benefits. My work prioritizes the mutually reinforcing achievement of social, economic, and environmental benefits. I’m interested in connecting with others to build a brighter future for all. My 17+ years of experience includes 6+ years in the energy industry, 5+ years in state government sustainability program management, and 4 years of combined international and domestic work in public education. With a focus in Environmental Science and Policy, I hold a Master of Public Administration degree from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, and a versatile History degree with honors from the University of Houston.
