With architect Ray Lifchez, I taught Environmental Design 101A, which focuses on creative responses to objects and environments.

I taught Fundamentals of Creative Writing to SFSU undergraduates, including the genres of fiction, poetry and theater. The class was workshop-based, so students had a chance to learn how to read and response to peer work, as well as develop their command of craft and hone their voice.

As Writer-in-Residence when the Museum first opened, I helped develop the story of the Museum through writing, audio-visuals, interactive games, and collaborations with artists. I also hosted the museum's podcast, "The Space Between," and worked with the curatorial team at the CJM and SFMOMA to develop language and a digital experience for our shared.

With a new building, and a blank slate to create new kinds of conversations and events, the program team developed lectures, public panels, gallery talks, film screenings and performances designed to explore the intersection of Contemporary, Jewish and Museum.Highlights of these years include talks by world-famous artists like Kehinde Wiley, Maira Kalman.

In collaboration with a team of professors, I helped develop the "Jewish Lives" biography series, published by Yale University Press.

Developed, edited and distributed the Jewish Literary Supplement, a quarterly national publication. Presented the Goldberg Prize for emerging Jewish writers. Planned literary panels and events at community centers and universities throughout the U.S.

Worked closely with national cultural executives and Jewish community leaders to re-frame art and culture as a tool for both Jewish engagement and inter-religious conversation. Developed organization’s newsletter, website, and a new generation of promotional materials.
