Served as a spokesperson for Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel; drafted, edited, reviewed and published news releases, viewpoints, talking points and speeches for the attorney general and key senior leaders; built and maintained relationships with local, statewide and national reporters who covered the Attorney General’s office and key cases; served as the lead spokesperson for the office’s top investigations, including People v Simon, the Flint Water Crisis, and the Clergy Abuse investigation; and oversaw the office’s website and social media platforms.

Served as one of two spokespeople for the department; led the earned media strategy for the state’s talent attraction campaign, Choose Michigan; developed and executed the communications strategy for the department’s talent retention and attraction strategy, the Marshall Plan for Talent, which included grassroots communication, coalition building and management, and legislative advocacy; drafted, edited and published news releases, media advisories, viewpoints and talking points for the governor, director and the department’s senior leaders; built and sustained relationships with K-12 associations, business leaders and advocates who all play a key role in talent development in Michigan; and planned and executed news conferences and expos on various department initiatives.
