Defined and implemented all corporate information strategies for $120M+ multi-company food manufacturing business unit. Responsible for all IT management including budget, procurement, vendor management, software selection, project management, BI/data warehousing development, and daily infrastructure/customer support.• Managed project for consolidation of back-office functions from plant locations to new corporate headquarters in downtown Chicago. Project which was completed on-time and under budget included design/build-out of office space, new state-of-the-art data center and hosted VOIP phone system. Synergies achieved allowed for reductions in staff and process standardization.• Led redesign of corporate network connecting HQ, 3 plants and 2 distribution centers via Watchguard firewalls and VPNs. Upgraded locations to Cisco switchgear and wireless. Negotiated new contracts with telecom providers resulting in significant monthly savings.• Directed consultants during upgrade and redesign of Sage MAS100 ERP system to support new direction for manufacturing finance moving from Lot to Standards based accounting. Project enabled visibility for the first time into cost variances for both material usage and direct labor allowing management to target inefficiencies in the manufacturing process. Project was completed on time and significantly under budget.• Designed and implemented Microsoft SQL based data warehouse with staging environments to combine data from J.D. Edwards and Sage ERP systems. Normalized data was used to produce consolidated financials and feed QlikView BI applications.• Implemented SolarWinds Helpdesk for management of all IT support issues. System supported improved customer service and service levels across the multiple sites.• Selected and implemented FaciliWorks (CMMS) from CyberMetrics for processing of manufacturing maintenance requests and tracking of parts inventories and usage.

Led information systems department for $75M+ high end food manufacturing company which was acquired from H.J. Heinz.• Managed project for the creation of new division after separation from H.J. Heinz. Project required implementation from scratch of all Microsoft servers and applications including: Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint and Dynamics CRM. Also included in the project were Symantec Antivirus, Symantec Backup Exec, QlikView BI and hosted ADP HR/Payroll.• Directed consultants for the re-implementation of J.D. Edwards ERP system on-time and under budget in 90 day period. Project included setup of RFgen barcoding, CreateForm! reporting and SPS Commerce EDI integration.• Negotiated new software and hardware contracts with all vendors to move ownership from the H.J. Heinz to Golden County Foods. Included creation of volume licensing agreements with Microsoft and Oracle.• Designed and implemented new virtualized server environment utilizing Microsoft Hyper-V, IBM BladeCenter servers and EMC Clariion storage system.

Responsible for strategic direction of business unit, deployment of new technologies and project management for select corporate-wide IT projects. Appetizer business was acquired by Golden County Foods in 2009.• Led IT integration of 2 appetizer and 2 desert companies which had been acquired within a short period to form a single business unit headquartered in Chicago with common systems and processes resulting in reduced resource and overhead costs.• Managed migration of each company to the Heinz IT infrastructure including the BPCS ERP system within 90 after acquisition.• Assigned as project manager for implementation of Tibersoft trade spend management system to be utilized by all of Heinz Foodservice in the reduction of trade spend costs.

Heinz in 2005.• Managed selection and implementation of QlikView Business Intelligence system which was utilized to create applications for sales reporting and distributor profitability allowing visibility into company data that had been previously unavailable. Increased ability for in-depth analysis allowed for double digit increases in sales while reducing spend at the distributor level.• Developed strategic IT plan to upgrade obsolete systems and provide tools to optimize all parts of the business allowing the company to position themselves as the leader in their business segment.
