I always felt that my knowledge of current affairs was lacking behind my peers. This, coupled with my inability to remember the facts once reading articles or news stories led me to develop the idea of Tipsta. This, coupled with my inability to remember the facts once reading articles or news stories led me to develop the idea of Tipsta. I was also aware that many of the people who I compared myself to always seemed to talk a good game and often looked the part - bullsh*t baffles brains after all - or to put it more scientifically, the halo effect. Tipsta was a way for me (and others like me) to absorb snippets of information on trending and topical issues, but most importantly to form my own ideas, opinions and predictions about what would happen in the future. Tipsta was also a way of tracking these ideas, opinions and predictions - which would get validated at a later date when the correct outcome was known. I thought it would be fascinating to explore how scores across different demographics, backgrounds, education standards etc would compare. I hope that in time, and as Tipsta grows, we will see if there's any truth to the 'halo effect' in terms of intellectual predictions. It would be outstanding if you could help in this project by making a few of your own predictions on the platform - at the very least, you'll learn a bit about what's going on in the world and at the end of it all have a better understanding of your own accuracy!
