Passionate is a word that's used a lot on LinkedIn, but I struggle to find another word that suits to describe how I feel about learning and development! So, I'm a passionate end-to-end L&D professional and people geek, currently working as a People Scientist at Culture Amp where I help ensure that our customer-facing folk are comfortable with the science behind our products.In my previous work life I worked for GSK and NAB in their central learning functions. I've worked in many facets of L&D in my roles over the last decade or so - including design, delivery, and consulting and coaching. I value being seen as a professional partner to the business who sees how learning can help teams and organisations meet their goals. I've been told that I have the ability to take the complex and make it seem simple, and a knack for getting to the heart of what's required to help people be their best in their role. As one of my client stakeholders said to me when describing what I brought to their business: "you just get it". I love the strategy behind the learning, the architecture and the big picture - making connections and creating alignment, seeking to make sense of ecosystems, and avoid duplication of work effort. I'm also enthusiastic about coaching and mentoring, and helping others with their personal career development, helping people to focus on matching their strengths and interests to career paths.
