As a swim instructor, I teach young children and toddlers how to swim and be comfortable in the pool, as well as coaching children between the ages of 7 and 14 on a swim team. I diagnose problems with certain swims and explain how to improve certain skills. I familiarize parents with their child’s swims and communicate with them about their child’s improvement. I assess children’s abilities and make sure they can complete certain swims before letting them advance to the next level. I also enroll new students and ensure new customers have a pleasant experience, handle customer requests through phone calls and emails, stock and cashier swim supplies, and greet customers upon entry and exit at the front desk.
