The owners were not present during my work schedule and no other employees. I made sure business ran smoothly during the day and closed the store and locked up each night. I was responsible for all duties. The work that was done and the cash register were all set up in the computer in a dry cleaning software program. I entered the customers info into the computer system and collected payments via cash, credit or debit. In addition, I processed the items that came in, applying heat seal tags on each item, categorized and inventoried all items into the software program so the owner could locate all items to dry clean and press accordingly the next day. I also answered the phones. I was friendly and courteous to all customers and if there were any problems that arose with their purchases I would help them in any way I could to resolve the issue. I am patient and always find a solution. The business closed March 29, 2024 due to financial hardship of the owners. -

My work involved the care and monitoring of animals including identifying any special needs and customized care, adhering to safety/health standards and administrating vaccinations. I worked closely with staff and helped manage a large group of volunteers and court appointed workers. I also had to make sure the animals were in clean and healthy conditions and responsible to keep my areas in great order! My administrative work included customer service, logging animals into petpoint.com to upload photos and videos to encourage adoption. I helped file, keep animal records updated, processed payments and answered phone calls from the public who often had questions regarding abandoned animals and the adoption process. Additionally I administered medications to animals in treatment and documented any changes in condition; cleaned and disinfected exam areas and kennels to prevent diseases and control odors; restrained animals safely during exams and procedures; collected, prepared and labeled samples for laboratory testing, culture and microscopic examination. Due to some health issues at the time I was forced to resign. I was missing too many days. My health issues have been resolved.

Mar 2002 - Jun 2010Working as Senior Reservation Associate, I reserved hotel rooms for a variety of associations’ conventions and meetings (large up to 15,000 people and as small as 100 people). Most of the time, there were several conventions occurring at the same time. My job included answering calls which involved describing hotel options for numerous conventions. I was trained to enter reservations in GRI’s computer system and create accurate reporting for the hotels involved and for GRI’s clients. Along with data entry, processing payments, customer service, contract proofreading, generating progress reports, I also worked closely with several Reservatons Associates in meeting many different show deadlines. I assisted in the billing process and processing guest deposits which were forwarded to hotels. I developed relationships with many hotel front desk staff members to answer guests’ questions and to monitor room availability. As each show ended, I assisted in the overall documentation of the show and the archiving of records for future reference.
