For the last 15 years I've made a career out of making stuff. Now and again I even get to make something that has a positive impact on people or society (even if it's just a little sometimes). I'm interested in everything that makes me better at making stuff and getting it out there. Design, marketing, strategy, sales, advertising, UX, usability, code - whatever it takes. I'm a lucky guy. I was part of the first Wayra cohort in Ireland - one of ten startups chosen from 350. I was chosen by Wayra to represent Ireland in Telefonica's mini MBA programme, run with the IESE business school in Barcelona. I was selected to attend the prestigious Blackbox (BB13) programme in San Francisco, courtesy of Google. I'm also a graduate of Google's Startuponomics behavioural economics programme. And finally, I was invited to Polaris Ventures co-working space, whilst that was still a thing in Dublin. It's been a busy few years.

Digital Design LeadTelefonica Jun 2008 - Oct 2012County Dublin, IrelandResponsible for all aspects of digital design for O2 - UX, design, brand guardianship and strategy for our apps, online campaigns, social networking presence and other digital assets. This was a senior role on the brand team (voted best marketing team in Ireland 3 years running). We did a lot of great work with some amazing people. We even won a few awards including a Nokia Digital Award for our work on a branded streaming service and several An Post marketing awards.I've worked on many national campaigns and contributed to the O2 brand in Europe. We built apps, e-commerce platforms, websites and everything in between. We continually innovated and improved our digital presence and our own processes. I worked for people who were not afraid to take risks and try new things. Most of all, I learned a lot. -
Creative Director3Playplus Nov 2006 - Jun 20083playplus was a startup/spinout of Planet21, one of the largest network providers in Ireland. I joined as Creative Director, but as a startup ended taking on responsibility for plenty of other stuff. We launched Ireland's first true "triple play" service on what was then the largest privately owned fibre network in the country. My duties included everything from creating our brand to our set top box interface and advertising for our national campaign.
