❤️ Tempting people to fall in love with art through chocolate. In late 2014, we condensed our lives into a few suitcases and headed on a journey. A divine intervention on our adventurous path brought us to Costa Rica. Where we had our very first encounter with the cacao plant and its seeds - the cacao beans. First introduced to their raw form as a “superfood”, we were amazed at the rich, wild, and complex taste. But still, we needed to bridge the gap between those intense and harsh beans and their world famous outcome - the chocolate.We started traveling around Costa Rica visiting cocoa farms and meeting chocolate makers who work in different techniques and styles, and learned in-depth how to make hand-crafted chocolate. After 18 months in Costa Rica we moved to Colorado. sourcing single-origin beans, and recreating the entire chocolate-making process in our facility in Thornton. Later we crossed paths with Sima, the chocolate whisperer, and have been flowing together since, in a playful journey of flavors and discoveries.In our previous life, Gila was an editorial illustrator and Joel a film producer. With a deep, lifelong connection to the arts, we decided to engage on a mission through our chocolate: Connect Artists and Art Lovers through Artisan Chocolate. At the end of 2022 we launched the Art Bars - wrapping our chocolate in artwork by different artists of different backgrounds. Like a rotating exhibit on chocolate, the Art Bars provide a spectacular and enriching all-senses experience.
