Dr. Richardson-Heron served on the NIH executive leadership team responsible for designing, developing and implementing the Precision Medicine Initiative-All of Us Research Program, a nationwide landmark longitudinal research study of one million+ U.S. volunteers designed to achieve equitable representation in clinical and scientific research, make groundbreaking medical advancements, and most importantly, significantly enhance the wellbeing of all Americans by contributing to the science that may one day lead to the prevention of cancer, heart disease, lung disease and many other debilitating chronic diseases.

YWCA is the Nation’s oldest and largest multicultural organization dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. At YWCA USA, Richardson-Heron served at the helm of the 158 year old national organization, leading transformative change, mission impact, member services, advocacy, communications, finance, development teams and field directors from around the country. Together with her executive leadership team, she worked to develop and implement innovative, value added solutions and supports for the 25th largest nonprofit in the nation with a network of more than 220 local association members with net assets of nearly $1 Billion offering life-changing community-based services in 47 states throughout the nation and the District of Columbia. She also worked closely with the YWCA USA Board of Directors to provide strategic leadership and direction for the organization.Richardson-Heron represented YWCA on Capitol Hill, at the White House and in the media. She was featured in the New York Times, Huffington Post, Nonprofit Times, Black Enterprise, CNN, Forbes, Chronicle of Philanthropy and many other national and local media outlets. In addition to her operational and governance activities, she met regularly with key stakeholders, including elected officials, coalition partners, corporations and donors and represented the organization at numerous speaking events across the nation.Under her leadership, the organization optimized its governance and organizational structure; significantly enhanced the engagement and alignment between local and national operations; cultivated new local and national partnerships; and significantly elevated its advocacy work in the areas of racial justice and civil rights, economic advancement, and health and safety.

In partnership with the Board of Directors, provided the overall leadership, vision and strategic direction for the largest Komen Affiliate in the network. Managed a budget of over $13 Million and led senior team to exceed organizational goals. Accountable for strategic planning, grants administration and management, fundraising, HR, Finance management, communications, volunteer and staff management, and policy making. Principal representative and spokesperson for the organization to donors, corporations, policy makers, news media, volunteers and other constituents on all matters affecting the organization's mission and interests. Maintained effective relationships with peer executives, Board and Committees to enhance organizational effectiveness. Ensured that day-to-day operations and activities of the organization were smoothly and effectively administered and operational efficiency was maximized to allow the organization to successfully meet the needs of all constituents and stakeholders.

Provided advocacy, support, educational services, advice and counsel to over 100 UCP affiliates and thousands of individuals with disabilities in the US, Canada and Australia. Provided professional leadership and participated as a member of the UCP NYC Executive team to assist with the management, strategic planning, overall clinical and administrative day-to-day operations and fundraising of a $90 million non-profit organization providing educational, clinical, advocacy, residential, training and support services to individuals with disabilities and their families.

Hand selected by the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer to serve in coveted position from a pool of over 8,000 management employees based on exceptional performance. Served as a liaison for CEO to effectively manage and maintain relationships with Company Board of Directors, Senior company executives, business leaders, elected officials and other key stakeholders.

Developmental Assignment: Provided overall professional leadership and direction to a staff of 31 Human Resource Generalists and Team Leaders. Revitalized and strengthened the HR Management function by providing training, updating policies and procedures, restructuring staffing patterns and assignments resulting in significantly improved moral and strengthened core HR services to over 16,000 company employees.

Directed the operation of the Company's Medical Department to ensure efficiency and quality. Developed and implemented preventive health and wellness initiatives for 16,000 company employees. Maintained full management responsibility for general business functions of Company Occupational Health Department including physician recruitment, staff training, financial management, quality improvement and public relations. Provided high quality health care services and developed pioneering programs in preventive health, wellness and disease management to enhance overall employee health.
