In this role I was responsible for the development, design, manufacture, assembly and integration of a complete steering system for the 2017 season vehicles.With reliability a major design objective for the ground-up re-design of the internal combustion car, I designed a 60° 1:1 ratio gearbox to transmit steering torque through a shortened and lightened steel steering shaft to a carbon fibre steering column using aluminium wire-cut splined column inserts then to the carbon fiber steering rack.Additionally, I was responsible for assembly and maintenance of a previous years steering system whilst it was retrofit to the first ever UOW electric vehicle.

In this role I worked in the Business division of the team and was responsible for the creation of all team media content as well as the management, advancement and maintenance of all team social media accounts.A major task of the season was the creation of a Season Launch video showcase which is linked in my profile below. With the help of my media system recruit Josh, the photo and video content creation in the 2016 season was the best the team had seen to date with strong growth across all social media platforms. My event video competition entry saw the team win sponsorship from Lipton Ice Tea, a partnership which lasted for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
