I assisted in the classroom of a college-credit Humanities course for rising high school seniors, in which we focused on the intersections of art and political activism through creative works, college-level essays, and presentations. I created and facilitated an elective course on podcasting, supervised study hall daily, ran daily activities, and was a residential advisor in the dorms. Most critically, I was a mentor to primarily first-generation, low income, college-bound students and fostered a crucial environment of relationship building in our academic community.

Wild Roots Farm Vermont is a community based project that utilizes regenerative practices to develop resilient food systems and healthy soil. Through workshops and internships, they encourage community members to be land stewards capable of viewing the landscape from an ecological perspective.As a Farm Intern, I was able to explore the principles of permaculture farming in action through maintaining, planting, and harvesting several acres of vegetable and berry crops, along with rotationally grazing chickens and ducks. I visited an area middle and high school with an on-site hydroponic farm to learn about farm-to-school practices. I participated in the planning of crop rotation and companion crop growing to maintain soil health and promote the success of future production.

The executive board of the College Radio Station manages one of the largest student organizations on campus which serves not only our student body, but listeners throughout the Champlain Valley. My responsibility was to manage the brand of the station, the design and organization of posters/advertising and merchandise, and the blog and website.
