I am a student at California Western School of Law in San Diego.As a former division one volleyball player, I am no stranger to hard work and applying corrections quickly. My competitive drive forces me to pay strong attention to detail. I can multi-task and meet tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment. I am eager to accept feedback and enjoy working on different projects because I believe every opportunity is a learning experience. I value education and think of myself as a lifelong learner. Before attending law school, I was a fourth-grade teacher at the peak of the pandemic and teacher shortage. My school was high-poverty, low performing. I was tasked with teaching over forty students in one classroom and partnered with a long-term substitute in the other. I took the challenge in stride and wrote inclusive lesson plans to aid all eighty-plus students. I integrated multicultural projects and diversified lesson plans so that everyone felt represented, whether it be by race, culture, or learning style. I served many families by learning the predominant languages spoken at my school (French and Spanish) and through different mediums such as tutoring. Despite our hardships, the fourth graders showed the most exponential growth on standardized tests in our entire school. This position enhanced my overall skills and the required skills I possess for legal work. I can easily relate to diverse personalities, lead by example, and communicate clearly. I desire to work in an environment where I am academically challenged every day and tasked to use my problem-solving skills to excel.I am self-motivated and resourceful. I’m hoping to practice IP or business law upon graduation. My professional passions include expanding my knowledge of client management, contract formation, and research. In my free time, I enjoy playing volleyball, learning different languages (Spanish and French), traveling, and eating other culture's foods.
