Since I was a young child, the way people learned always fascinated me. The way some people are able to perform a task, but to others they are not able to perform that task, as quickly, is a concept that most people overlook. I am currently employed at the Senior Center for the city of Denton, and a seasonal job as a toddler cheer instructor. Working and caring for those who are older and younger, while being able to help them learn simple tasks has helped me become a more understanding and patient person.My goal is to graduate with my masters in psychology and become a pediatric occupational therapist. Helping children is my passion. While I teach and talk to the kids in the 3 classes that I have, I see when they understand and when that little light goes off inside their head. My active listening, communication, and patient skills have made it a wonderful and adventurous ride, that in time I will help achieve my ultimate goal.
