I was the number one producing advisor every month and I was with this company. As a result I was later moved to oversee all internal service repairs (unsold stock units and pending sold units) and also oversee all pending new sold units to the point of delivery, working with the new owners to ensure their new RV would have all of the conveniences that they may want and/or need that do not come from the factory. I contacted each new customer prior to delivery and reviewed what was and was not promised by the sales team and what each new customer could expect on the day they took delivery. I would also discuss with them the many upgrade options they may consider to enjoy their purchase more. I was their primary point of contact leading up to and even after their delivery. In addition, my job was to oversee the inventory and maintain it in sellable condition. Occasionally I would handle dispatching work to the technicians and even assisting in basic repairs. I helped train new front counter Service Advisors as well as helping with unhappy or difficult customers on a daily basis. And much, much more.

Managed and trained new incoming personnel in the service department. Develop service specials and promotions. Managed the service drive and dispatched work to technicians. Review completed repairs and verify repairs completed properly and units clean and ready for customer pick up. Handle customer concerns ("hot customers") ie. Unsatisfactory repairs, lack of contact from other employees, slow or wrong materials that were ordered, communicate with product manufacturers to resolve customer concerns and to expedite repairs ongoing in the shop. Write body shop estimates and communicate with Insurance adjusters to get estimates approved and work scheduled as well as being sure all portions of the repairs get paid for in a timely manner from the insurance companies. Organize and conduct meetings with the service staff for the purposes of maintaining smooth daily operations and address employee concerns. Member of the safety committee, maintain OSHA standards and addressing potential issues, including developing action plans to resolve potential issues. Communicate with the Sales staff, to staff properly for busy periods. Oversee vendor operations verifying invoices and dollar amounts and keeping checks and balances. -

I worked with the local distributor for a couple of years before he then sold his business and territory to a larger distributor that I chose not to work for as a result of changing profit structures. Locally, when I started, we only had about 20% to 30% of the market share of dealerships doing business with us. In the two years I worked as the Sales Manager, I grew that to approximately 60% market share, by implementing the things I did in Los Angeles that made me successful there.
