CurrentRecruited to develop and lead a manufacturing division terminating Fiber Optic cable assemblies.• Provide leadership and oversight to the multi-site manufacturing facilities• Hiring, training and managing a multi-disciplined team (engineering, supply chain, planning, multi-shift production, maintenance • Establish and implement manufacturing objectives• Justify, formulate and implement strong capital execution related to the capacity, quality and flexibility of each operation• Plan and manage production capacity to optimize plant costs• Create comprehensive resource planning schedules to ensure appropriate staffing and employee performance and development of skills• Ensure all equipment and machines are working effectively and address repairs and replacements as needed• Participate in daily Production and Quality/Process review meetings and ensure that departments are following schedules and implement corrective action to prevent schedule deviations in order to meet prescribed deadlines• Manage engineering and R&D departments,• Allocate material, human and financial resources to implement operational policies• Restructure or reorganize in key areas to ensure skills are appropriately assigned• Plant P&L responsibility; ensure business objectives, in relation to budget, for all manufacturing expenditures are met• Manage production revenue and cost elements and provide strong controls around fixed and variable overheads.• Work with Quality Manager to establish compliance and routes to improve including designing and implementing primary operations quality systems• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance• Oversee all contractors, vendors and OEMs• Use leadership and communications skills to develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and customer partnerships• Effective and regular communication of business KPI’s, performance and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing environment.
