College basketball at Averett University while as a player was named a two year started and two year team captain. Developed time management skills while spending an average of 45 hours a week in practice, play and travel. Arrived at least 30 minutes early prior to every practice to prepare for the days practice. Volunteered in various team activities including: Big Brother, Special Olympics, Martinsville Speedway.

Allowed the chapter to stay in good finical health by producing detailed financial statements. Worked with executive members in order to create and meet the semester budgetary benchmarks.

My internship responsibilities consisted of signing clients in, signing up new members, giving potential members tour of the facility, lead and assist with group or individual training sessions. Group training of between 5-20 members consisting of dynamic warm-ups, speed, strength and flexibility. Individual training catered toward weight loss, athletic excellence, or general health based on the clients individual goals.

Train youth in both basketball and strength and conditioning. Lead personalized workouts, created energy environment while ensuring a enjoyable and rewarding training session.

Colombia

Selected to compete with an Athlete in Action team with players all across the country to compete against international competition. Traveled to Colombia playing against different professional organizations and putting on basketball workshops for the children in the country. Gained a better understanding of different cultures by sports competition, cultural events and touring historical sites.

Responsibilities included making the work schedule, cleaning the pool, checking chemicals, training new lifeguards.
