- Inspection and evaluation of wind turbine blade condition.- Performing various blade repairs on composite materials always adhering to manufacturer's work instructions and best industry standards. - Implementing blade upgrades and retrofits as required.- Experience both on internal and external repairs up to Cat 5.- Work performed both as supporting technician as well as team leader.- Efficient repair time management in order to minimize wind turbine production downtime.- Generating inspection and repair reports.

This internship was part of the curriculum for the Composite Technician course.I was assigned to the composite repair division within the Maintenance and Engineering department. Although a rather short internship it was very intense and demanding as expected. Unlike other areas such as production, the repair environment is very complex in the way the each case has to be handled individually as no two repairs are usually the same. This involved evaluating the damage, repair procedure decision and obviously the repair process itself always meticulously adhering to the manufacturer manuals and recommendations.

- Contract Tutor/Instructor for Motorman Course. This was undoubtedly one of the most rewarding professional experiences in my life. I was able to share my experience onboard merchant navy ships as a 4th and 3rd Engineer. What really stood out to me personally was the fact that I actually learned so much from teaching. Finding alternate ways to bring across the ideas and concepts behind so many technical and complex subjects made me dig deeper into information that I had not explored previously and strengthen my knowledge on those very same subjects.

- Customer liaison, Technical Sales Engineer - Elaborating strategies for metal machining, turning and welding processes

Working as a 3rd Engineer I was responsible for the maintenance and operation of the many systems and machinery onboard. More specifically, compressed air system, engine lubrication circuit, fresh and salt water system, power generation, sewage treatment plant operation, main engines operation, propulsion and manoeuvring.Also contributed to the revision and update of maintenance routines, safety procedures and manuals.

Short graduate placement.- Familiarisation with the various company activities, mostly the manufacture of components for Formula 1 and other motorsport; - Research on opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity; - Reviewing and updating ISO 9001:2008 Quality Standard.
