About Daris Mark
I started my career as a technician in the lab of Joseph Goldstein and Michael Brown. While there, I helped characterize and discover proteins involved in sterol synthesis and regulation. From there I moved to Amgen, where I joined a lab using virus to express secreted factors in animals mostly using adenovirus. My first task was to establish a state of the art AAV production method that was eventually used to test over 200 different secreted molecules.More recently I have been in charge of the molecular cloning group at Amgen. My current goal has been to establish an automated Golden Gate based HT cloning system that can accommodate bacterial, baculovirus, BacMam and mammalian expression constructs to support Amgen Thousand Oaks' discovery efforts.After 20 years at Amgen I have now embarked on a new opportunity at A2 Biotherapeutics.
